He retired in 1988 due to health reasons.
He enjoyed his family; and the death of his son David, in 1981, was a very sad time for the family.
He always enjoyed returning to his beloved Nova Scotia. He loved the many, many special times there, visiting his in-laws (late Annie and Jack) in the Hubbards area.
Many thanks to the staff of the Dialysis unit and pharmacy for their care over the years. Thanks also to the staff in 4E for their care and compassion during his final days.
Aside from his parents, Carl was pre-deceased by his son, David and brothers; Donald, Freddie and Roy.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, daughter, Paula (Darcy MacDonald) of Dartmouth, son, Scott of Halifax, sister, Shirley (Murray) Durling of Calgary, special sister-in-law, Viola, brother-in-law, Reg and nephew, Reggie Stallard of Hammond’s Plains and other nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place through Fair Haven Funeral Home.
