<div itemprop="description">“The Mountains are calling and I must go....”<br><br>Christopher Joseph Sebastian Reddy passed away at home, with his wife and daughters at his side, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 67. Born in Halifax N-S, he was the son of the late Gerald and Margaret Reddy. <br><br>Chris is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Dianne Reddy (Thériault); his daughters: Sarah Reddy- Keenan(Chris Keenan) and Angélique Reddy-Kalala (Junior Kalala); his grandchildren Thomas, Abbigale, Tanner, Eve, Auguste and Sierra; his brother Jerry (Elizabeth); his sister Margaret. He will also be greatly missed by his best buds from out west, Ralph Wannet and Ray Brassard.<br><br>Chris obtained his degree in Environmental and Professional Planning from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Pursuing a career in Urban Planning, Chris travelled coast to coast helping to shape Canadian cities. Chris is best known for his larger than life, gregarious and positive attitude. He was a mentor to many and truly impacted the lives of those he met. He was a lover of photography, art, good food and music. He was known for saying "it's a great day to be alive". Always sharing his positive outlook on life with those around him. He cherished all the time he had with family and friends. <br><br>Chris loved his quiet moments on the front porch with a good book and a glass scotch. A lover of knowledge and good conversation Chris had the gift of story-telling. Born in Halifax he loved being close to the ocean. His life journey brought him across Canada allowing him to develop a true love and fascination of the mountains. He found the beauty in everything around him from architecture to nature, always capturing those special moments along the way. <br><br>As per his wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. <br><br>Donations can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation.<br><br>Christopher will be forever loved and missed. <br><br>"We will see you in the future Boumbalatti.
