<div itemprop="description"><br> <br>DeVere Barbour passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the Moncton Hospital on October 27, 2016, at the age of 80. Born in Pointe Wolfe, NB, he was the son of the late Calvin and Gladys Barbour. <br> <br> <br>DeVere is survived by his children, Stephen (Beth) Savoie, Calvin (Lorna) Barbour, Linda (Nael) Nabout, Paul (Lynn) Barbour, Charlotte (Carl) Fitzsimmons; Siblings, Vira (Paul) Vujovich, Velma (Sterling) Hoar, Winston (Roseanne) Barbour. He will also be missed by his grandchildren and great–grandchildren. <br> <br> <br>In addition to his parents, DeVere was predeceased by his beloved wife Edna Barbour. <br> <br> <br>DeVere was employed with CNR for 35 years and one month. He was a member of The Moncton Volunteer Fire Department for 26 years, and served on the board of Directors of Omista Credit Union for many years. <br> <br> <br>Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.A memorial service celebrating DeVere’s life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm, with visitation held from 1:00 pm until time of service. <br> <br> <br> A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment will be at Fair Haven Cemetery. <br> <br> <br>The family wishes to acknowledge the Staff at Fundy Royal Manor, the Nurses and Staff of the 4600 Unit at The Moncton Hospital and a Heartfelt thank you to the 3600 Palliative Care Unit especially Michelle, Murray, Mary Lou and Anne Marie. <br> <br> <br>The family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donor’s choice. <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
