Frances Wilson
May 8, 1930 - August 5, 2016
Frances Louisa Wilson (Lane)
May 8, 1930 – August 5, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Frances Wilson. She was 86. Frances fought a lengthy battle with cancer, but is now at peace and pain free. Son, Earl, and grandsons, Max and Chase, were with her at home when she left to become of God’s Angels.
Frances was born in Turtle Creek, daughter of the late Clifford and Marion (Meredith) Lane, she will always be remembered for her kindness and hospitality. She always had a pot of tea ready and no one ever went away from her table hungry. She was always ready to open her door and her heart to family and friends alike. She was an excellent cook and loved to quilt, crochet, and spend time with her family. Her passing left an emptiness in our lives and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Dupuis of Moncton, Lorraine Nelson (Dave) of Salisbury, and son, Earl; grandchildren Joey Dupuis, Derek Dupuis, Mitchel Dupuis (Jen), Katina Dupuis, Christopher Lewis (Meghan), Nicholas Nelson (Amanda), Joshua Nelson (Julie), Max Wilson and Chase Wilson as well as great-grandchildren, Samuel Nelson, Selena Tenass, Jayden Martin, Jason Murray, Alexis Nelson, Jayda Nelson, and Eldon Steeves. Frances is also survived by sisters, Jean Wilson (late Gordon) of Dobson Corner, Elizabeth Parker (Ken) of Stoney Creek, and brothers, Wesley Lane (Sharon), Davies Lane (Betty), and Roy Lane (Linda), sisters-in-law, Debbie Lane, Harriet Lewis, and Marion Wilson, brother-in-law, David Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
Frances was predeceased by brothers, Gordon (Violet), Eldon (Peggy), George (Betty), and Lester; sisters, Mable May and Rowena Eagles (Wally).
A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm with public visiting hours from 1:00 pm until time of service.
