<div itemprop="description"><br />Joseph was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. In his youth Joe was an active boy scout and avid outdoorsman, hiking many kilometers every weekend. After his high school completion he trained to be an auto mechanic. Soon after he joined the Hungarian Army attended the Army Academy and became an Officer. He was transferred to Eger and was responsible for the auto pool for three years. He returned to civilian life and worked as an auto mechanic. <br /> <br /> In 1956, during the Hungarian Revolution Joe immigrated to Canada with his wife and young daughter. He worked as a mechanic in Quebec City, Matheson, ON, Baie Verte, NF and in Moncton, NB until his retirement in 1988. <br /> <br />Joe had a tremendous imagination and was known for his creative problem solving and inventiveness, any unusual job was an exciting challenge for Joe. He loved woodworking and building things, having built many boats, projects around the house and in his retirement, a beloved dollhouse. <br /> <br />Joe also enjoyed motorcycles, fast cars and loved his life. When he was no longer able to pursue his favourite hobbies he passed many hours with games on his computer. <br /> <br />Joe loved his family and was a loving husband to Helen and a devoted Dad to Judy. He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. <br /> <br />Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Theresa Kiss, sister Irene and his beautiful only child Judith. He is survived by his loving wife Helen, nephew Thomas Varga. He also loved his adopted children Jimmy, Irene, Patty and Theresa and his grandchildren Megan and Allyson. Over his lifetime Joe was blessed with many wonderful friends and colleagues. <br /> <br />In celebration of Joe&rsquo;s life, Helen will welcome friends and colleagues to drop by the family home on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. <br /> <br />Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton (506) 852-3530. <br /> <br /> The family invites you to send online condolences to www.fairhavenmemorial.ca <br /> <br /></div>
