<div itemprop="description"><br><br>Helen Brooks passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2016. Helen was a homemaker and prior to raising her family, she worked for T. Eaton Co. during the 1950's and 60's. She was a member of St. Augustine's RC Church, a member of the charismatics and volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul for many years. She loved reading and enjoyed motorcycle trips with her husband and best friend Vern. Helen looked forward to and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen always enjoyed visiting with family and friends from her home in Miramichi. Born in Boom Road, daughter of the late Daniel Burton and Delia O'Shea. Helen will be sadly missed by her husband of 59 years Vernon, two sons, Daniel (Kathy) Brooks of Moncton, Roger (Sandra) Brooks of Waterloo, ON, one daughter Athenia (Stephen) Glidden, seven grandchildren; Shawn, Vanessa, Brandon, Nicholas, Kayla, Jennifer and Patricia as well as two great grandchildren; Sawyer and Lennen. She is also survived by two brothers, Norman (Mary) O'Shea and Michael (Betty) O'Shea as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by four brothers; William, Fred, Gerald and her twin James. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, September 29 from 7 - 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30 at 12:00 pm (noon) at St. Augustine's RC Church followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment in Fair Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Helen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.</div>
