<div itemprop="description">Jack Nichols passed away peacefully in the early afternoon of April 30th at the Moncton City Hospital. Jack was born in Saint John New Brunswick April 15th 1934, the youngest of six children, plus one adopted; born to Herbert and Inez Nichols. Along with his parents, Jack was predeceased by three sisters, Gertrude, Alice and Lorraine and two brothers, Percy and Buster (Bessie) and has a surviving brother, Leonard (Lorraine) of Saint John. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law Tom Eagan. Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years Ramona (Pinky) Nichols, five children: Vicki Arnstowski (Gary), Michael Nichols, Crystal Eagan (Wayne), Bradley Nichols, and Kelly Nichols (Ashley), along with four grandchildren and three great granddaughters. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Jack was a computer wiz long before anyone had heard of them and during his years with the CNR was responsible for setting up the data center in St John's Newfoundland. He was also considered a local &quot;hero&quot; when he saved the education of numerous students as the first computer college in the area closed its doors after students had paid for the course. He returned there recently for his granddaughter&rsquo;s wedding and an over due walk down &quot;memory lane&quot;. Jack also loved to coach baseball and led his team to be provincial champions. He enjoyed his yearly trips to Montreal every May on the train with his friends to watch the ball games and played darts with his son Brad in the CNR league. He was an avid harness racing fan and enjoyed volunteering for the boys and girls club golf tournament and especially loved getting together at his friend Lorne Mitton's house with his buddies. Jack also enjoyed his winters spent with his daughter at her home in Arizona. By request no memorial will be held. The Family will hold a celebration of his life at a later time. He will be forever in our hearts...</div>
