<div itemprop="description"><br /><br />Vinqvist, Stella Marie. The passing of Stella Marie Vinqvist occured at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 29, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Born January 28, 1926 in Aldouane, New Brunswick, she was the eldest child of Edmund and Theotiste (Robichaud) Babin. She worked at various times in the food industry (Laura Secord Chocolates, Toronto, On., Horgan's Bakery and Eastern Bakeries in Saint John, New Brunswick) and at the Department of Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Saint John, New Brunswick. Upon her husband taking employment with Corrections Canada, the family relocated to Dorchester, N.B. Stella worked for some time with the War Surplus store in Memramcook, N.B. <br /><br />Stella was predeceased by her husband, Poul, in 2004, and her brother, Melame, in 2011. Stella is survived by her sons: Stephen (Anita) of Moncton, Paul (Louise Blenman) of Dieppe and Peter (Joanne Thompson) of Dorchester.<br /><br />She is also survived by her sisters Rita Cormier and Adreinne Curran of Saint Louis de Kent, Alexina Landry of Shediac, Sr. Marie Babin of Montreal, Dorothy Gelineau of Sun City West, Arizona, Theresa Henwood of Halifax and Shirley Richard as well as brother Edmund Johnson of Saint Louis de Kent. <br /><br />Cremation has taken place and Stella will be interred with her husband, Poul. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family celebration of Stella's life will be held at a later date.
