<div itemprop="description">Carson, Vaughan Edward – RCAF (Retired) <br>1936 - 2017 <br> <br>It is with great sorrow that the family of Vaughan announces his passing at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the age of 80 years, after a lengthy illness. Born in Mckinnon Siding (Moncton), NB. Vaughan is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Claudette Reta (Cormier) Carson; loving father of Deborah (Gordon), son Christopher and son Lawrence (Patricia) of Penticton BC. Papa to Dustan, Dylan, Danielle, Amber, Clayto, Brandon and great-grandpapa to Kitt, Kristen, Zachary and Kaleb. <br>Vaughan was a proud member of the RCAF, with 34 years of service in various bases across Canada and two years in Germany. Vaughan attended the Hillsborough United Church, always ready with a potato peeler for the next church family occasion. <br>After retirement Vaughan worked at #5 supply depot until its closure. He loved the outdoors and volunteered working on the Dobson Trail for over ten years. Hopewell Rocks was the most enjoyable job he said he had as an Interpreter. Vaughan was the son of the late John and Eva (Robb) and was predeceased by his brother Charles and sister Lillian. He leaves to mourn, three brothers; Jack (Helen) of Niagara Falls, ON, Allan (Marilyn) of Lower Coverdale, NB, Ralph of St. John, NB, two sisters; Dorothy of Woodstock, ON and Janet of Riverview, NB. <br>Vaughan will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family. <br>Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. A memorial service will be held following a Legion service on Saturday at 1:00pm. <br>Interment will take place in Fair Haven Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, (506) 852-3530.</div>
