<div itemprop="description">Bill Wallace of Moncton passed away on Tuesday January 24th, 2017.<br> <br>Born in Glasgow, Scotland he is survived by his mother Isabella (Hackett) Wallace, predeceased by his father William Burns Wallace Sr., in 1990.<br> <br>Bill will be sadly missed by his sons Neil of Prescott, Ontario and Steven and Ryan of Moncton. Bill is also survived by his sister Margaret (Daryl) Hayes of Musquodoboit Harbour N.S., brother Jim (Margaretha) of Moncton and sister Barbara (Jerry) Cormier of Riverview. Bill is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in 2014 by his sister Sandra.<br> <br>Bill was employed by Apex Industrial Supply for 45 years, starting in the warehouse and progressing to Vice President.<br> <br>Bill's passions were music, soccer, world travel and spending time with his family and friends at the cottage in Caissie Cape. He played rhythm guitar for the well known band the Missing Lynks. His soccer achievements included winning the Maritime Senior Soccer Championship with the Moncton Rovers in 1960, playing in the Canadian Soccer Challenge Cup in Newfoundland in 1977 and on many other victorious teams. Bill Played Old Timers Soccer right up until his passing.<br> <br>In keeping with Bill's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service, a celebration of life service will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home on Sunday, February 5th from 2:00 to 4:00.<br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, (506) 852-3530.<br></div>
