Winslow Vail
March 27, 1939 - June 14, 2016
Vail, Winslow – It is with great sadness that the family of Winslow William Rubins Vail of Shediac Road, Moncton, announce his passing surrounded by his family, at The Moncton Hospital on June 14, 2016 at the age of 77.
Born in Gagetown, NB, March 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Cecil and Viola (Ferris) Vail.
Winslow was a well-known Cook in Moncton, having worked for over 40 years at Hynes Restaurant. His bread pudding was famous all over the city.
He was an avid bee keeper for over 30 years. He made many friends in bee keeping and was known throughout New Brunswick for his ability in over-wintering bees.
Winslow will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 56 years Nancy (Hill) Vail, children; Danny (Heather), Wendy (Edouard) Thibodeau, Andrew (Cheryl), brothers; Walter (Elinor), Bob, Don, Lloyd (Rosemary), sister, Audrey Swantak and sister-in-law, Lillian.
He will also be forever remembered by his granddaughters; Emily Effiong, Samantha and Emma Vail, his grandson, George Winslow Vail and his many nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents, Winslow was predeceased by his brothers; Harold and Ralph, brother-in-law, Wayne Swantak and sister-in-law, Betty.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Winslow’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Winslow was a good friend to everyone he knew; he will be remembered as a kind and gentle man.
