<div itemprop="description">James Angus MacKeigan passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 18 2017 at the age of 83. He was the husband of Queenie (Dempsey) MacKeigan. Jimmie was born in Florence Cape Breton and dearly loved being a Cape Bretoner. He worked most of his career in the Jewelry Business both in Glace Bay and Moncton where he retired. Jim was a great sportsman who played competitive hockey and was inducted into the Greater Sussex Sports Wall of Fame 1949 – 1955. He and Queenie were married for 61 years and were blessed with 3 wonderful children. Jimmie was always there when he was needed by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Besides his wife, he will be greatly missed by his daughter Beth (Alan) Mark; two grandchildren: Kirk MacKeigan (Brittney) and Katelyn MacKeigan (Kevin); a great granddaughter: Aubree MacKeigan; his brother, Eldon MacKeigan (Joan), son-in-law, Scott McCallum, daughter-in-law Cathy MacKeigan as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Shelley McCallum, his son Leslie and his brother Billy. A graveside Service will be celebrated on Friday, April 21 at 1pm in the Fair Haven Cemetery. <br> <br>When I come to the end of my road, <br>And the sun has set on me, <br>I want no rites in a gloom-filled room, <br>Why cry for a soul set free? <br> <br></div>
