<div itemprop="description">Judson, Dewar William, passed away at Serenacare Home Inc. on the evening of April 21, 2017 at the age of 98. <br> <br>Born in Pownal, PEI on January 7, 1919. He was the son of the late Ralph and Annie Judson. <br> <br>Dewar was a World War II Veteran and retired in 1983 from No. 5 Supply Depot with 42 years of Service. <br> <br>He was a licensed mechanic in his spare time and enjoyed repairing cars for his family and friends. <br> <br>Dewar was a well-known hockey referee in the Maritimes with 30 years and over 2600 games refereed at all levels, with these accomplishments, Dewar was rewarded by being inducted in the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame in 1988. <br> <br>Dewar and his late wife June enjoyed many happy years at the cottage on Venice Avenue in Caissie Cape also enjoyed many winters in Venice, Florida. <br> <br>Dewar will be sadly missed by his two sons, Dewar of Riverview, and Ralph (Fran) of Moncton; five grandchildren, Mark (Melissa), Melanie (Colin), Scott (Amanda), Jason and Stacey. Dewar had a special spot for his granddaughter Melanie. He also leaves behind seven great grandchildren, Delilah, Sterling, Evelyn, Maizie, Janica, Jayden, Olivia and one step grandchild, Sophie; brothers, Winston (late Bea), Ken (Marion); sister, Irene (late Ivan and Doug) <br> <br>Dewar will also be missed by his many nephews and nieces; close friend, Eddie St. Pierre as well as Louise, Allan, and Monique. <br> <br>In addition to his parents, Dewar was predeceased by his wife June (2013); daughter, Shirley (2012); grandson Anthony (1991); brothers, Arthur (Freda); sisters, Minnie (Bob), Rita (Walter), Dorothy (Paul); and by his former wife, Eunice. <br> <br>The family would like to thank the staff of Serenacare Home for the wonderful care and compassion Dewar received during his time there. <br> <br>Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on April 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm -9:00 pm. A memorial service Celebrating Dewar’s life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Fair Haven Cemetery. <br> <br>Donations in memory of Dewar may be made to Parkinson Canada, The Canadian Diabetes Association or to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital. <br> <br></div>
