<div itemprop="description">The passing of Neta Jean (Groundwater) Lounsbury occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Monday July 28, 2014 at the age of 93. Born in Lutes Mountain, NB, she was a daughter of the late Earlie and Iva Winnifred (Stiles) Groundwater, and wife of the late Ernest B. Lounsbury.<br /><br />After marriage, Neta lived in Saint John and Petticodiac before moving to Oromocto. She worked with her husband in the family shoe repair business for over 40 years. She later worked at Levine&rsquo;s in the Jewellery Department for 17 years. Neta was a member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church in Fredericton; the Harriett Clark W.M.S. and the Myrtle Burden (Quilters) Mission Circle.<br /><br />She is survived by two sons Blair (Deborah) of Saint John, NB; Wade (Brenda) of Maugerville, NB; three granddaughters Christa MacPhee (Steve) of Quebec, Lorrie Quartermain (Chris) of Hoyt, NB, Shanon Lounsbury (Gordon) of Fredericton; two great grandchildren Colton and Riley Quartermain; one brother Gordon (Barbara) Groundwater of Moncton; one sister-in-law Elena Groundwater; many nieces and nephews.<br /><br />Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters Helen Kelly and Lila Kelly; brothers Alfred, Cecil and Raymond Groundwater; sister-in-law Viola Groundwater.<br /><br />The family will receive friends at Bishop&rsquo;s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Friday August 1, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home in Moncton on Saturday August 2, 2014 at 4 pm with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.<br /><br />For those who wish, memorials may be made to Brunswick Street Baptist Church or the Myrtle Burden (Quilters) Mission Circle.
